We are not meant to carry our sorrows alone, or keep our joys to ourselves.
It is in this spirit where we can cultivate a beautiful, connected, and meaningful life.
Welcome to
Mulberry Psychotherapy
& Consulting
At Mulberry Psychotherapy and Consulting, I seek to integrate all aspects of health to care for your whole system. Our therapeutic work can encompass your health across many domains including mental, physical, cultural, social, romantic/sexual, and religious/spiritual. We can be curious to see how different pieces of yourself inform how you move through the world, show up in relationships, and how you think and relate to yourself.
My primary areas of specialty include:
1. Promoting Behavioral Health Change
i.e., relationship with food, movement, substances, porn, gaming
2. Queer & trans health, women's health
3. Couples Therapy
4. Grief/loss throughout life and at the end of life
In practice, I follow an integrative, relational approach to therapy.
Some examples of what this may look like are:
-
Explore your values, behaviors, and relationships to celebrate areas of your life that are going well, and tend to areas that don’t feel quite right, right now.
-
Use compassion to understand the family you grew up in, attachment, and early development.
-
Open conversations about art, food, movement, messages you’ve received, holidays, and celebrations, and where you feel at “home” - so we may celebrate who you are, where you came from, and where you are now through storytelling, re-telling, and remembrance.
-
Prioritize your safety from multiple avenues. This means physical safety, workplace safety, romantic relationship safety, and feelings of safety within your own body.
-
Create a relationship with food, movement, sleep, and technology which feels sustainable and driven by your current needs.
-
Coordinate with other health care professionals (i.e., chronic pain specialists, psychiatrists, psychologists who do neurological assessments, eating disorder specialists) to provide you the best care possible and connect you to other services as needed.
